First and foremost, I'm very humble about my work and often find myself blushing ear to ear when it's complimented.
I'm very thankful for everyone who has taken the time to watch me, comment on and favorite my art since 2001.
While also an artist, I consider myself to be an admirer of anthro/furry art first. A friend introduced me to the VCL archive in 2001 and encouraged me to try anthro art because he noticed that I drew dragons a lot. I feel that anthro/furry art is a perfect fit for me because I really love animals, wildlife and drawing. I haven't been able to stop drawing them since!
There are several artists that I admire and I've been fortunate enough to gradually know them over the years.
My artistic inspirations are Jim Balent (he penciled the Catwoman comics in the 90's), Rage1986, Shinigamigirl, Jay Axer, Allison Theus, Orange04, Silverbobcat, Evana, Dominorose, Balaa, Mayra Boyle (Huskie), Hibbary and Dark Natasha.
When I uploaded my first 'furry' drawing, I had NO expectations of actually selling my art. It's been a learning experience dipping my toes into the business end of the fandom's pool. I've been gradually learning what my limits are when it comes to subject matter, deadlines and work loads. I've received a lot of encouragement and negativity along the way, but I try to take something meaningful from each experience.
I graduated from Pittsburgh Technical Institute in 2004 with an Associate Degree in Graphic Design and I currently have 2 years of experience in the field. I enjoy using Photoshop, Illustrator, Dreamweaver, QuarkXPress, InDesign, ImageReady and openCanvas. I'm in the progress of teaching myself to use Painter and ArtRage. Colored pencils are my favorite traditional medium.
I have no problem with my art being uploaded online to websites, as long as my copyright remains intact and the image is not modified in any way other than SIZE. (You can share my art on sites like Myspace, Photobucket, Imageshack....etc)
If you see an image you would like to reference or learn from, feel free to use it for help. If you would like to post the art you created from it online, please let me know. There is such a gray area between referencing and copying, but my main concern is that you learn.
Do not alter my images to remove the copyright or use my art in any way to turn a profit. Do not trace my art, change the colors and claim the work as your own. I will ask you to remove the art, contact the site host your modified images are on for their removal and if necessary, pursue legal damages.
